At 10:42 yesterday morning, a local 8-year-old hero risked patience and sanity by rescuing a drowning insect with a large spoon. Unfortunately, it was too late for the insect, who died before resuscitation efforts could begin. The water has been purified of the insect's remains. Burial services were held immediately following the rescue. Photographs were requested by the hero, and to commemorate her efforts we are happy to publish them.
